At Jungle Flowers Daycare, our Infant Program is specifically designed for our littlest blossoms, ages 12 months and under. At Jungle Flowers Daycare, our Preschool Program is designed for children ages 36 to 48 months and offers a gentle, nature-rich environment where learning unfolds through play, imitation, movement, creativity, and meaningful everyday experiences. At this stage, we continue to honor the traditional Waldorf early-childhood approach by allowing children plenty of time to explore, imagine, create, and develop at their own pace rather than rushing formal academics. Preschool days include outdoor exploration, storytelling, simple songs and movement, watercolor painting, sensory experiences, imaginative and self-directed play, practical life activities, simple baking, nature observation, seasonal experiences, nourishing meals, and restful quiet time. Preschoolers are also introduced to French through simple songs, movement, stories, everyday words, and playful conversation woven naturally into the day. Children are encouraged to participate in meaningful tasks, care for their environment, build independence, strengthen language and social-emotional skills, and develop coordination through hands-on experiences. At Jungle Flowers Daycare, our Pre-K program is designed to empower children ages 4 to 5, as they begin preparing for kindergarten in a way that remains playful, hands-on, and connected to the natural world. At this stage, children are gradually introduced to more intentional early learning while continuing to benefit from the rhythm, creativity, movement, storytelling, practical life, and outdoor experiences that shape our early-childhood program. Pre-K children begin exploring early literacy, number concepts, problem solving, observation, and critical-thinking skills through meaningful experiences rather than rushed academics. Our nature and science curriculum introduces children to topics such as plants, animals, habitats, weather, life cycles, and the environment through stories, discussion, outdoor observation, art, experiments, and hands-on exploration.
